    Details of China Grassland Tour

    Day 01: Entry Beijing
    when arriving you will be transferred to the hotel and have a good rest.

    Day 02: Beijing
    Sightseeing: Badaling Great Wall. the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb.  the Birds Nest (no entry).
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

    Badaling Great Wall - constructed in 1502 (during the Ming Dynasty), once served as a crucial military fortification, and is now the most impressive and representative section of the striking Great Wall.
    the Sacred Way  - The Sacred Way is part of the Ming Tombs complex. It is a long, straight path flanked by statues first of ancient government officials and then by animals. The Sacred Way ends at a pavilion sheltering a stone tablet.

    Ming Tomb - It is actually a tomb cluster of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), including thirteen emperors mausoleums, seven tombs for concubines and one grave for eunuchs.

    the Birds Nest - The spectacular Birds Nest stadium, hailed as the finest arena in the world and the centerpiece of the most expensive Olympics in history, is full of hidden symbolism.

    Summer Palace - the Summer Palace, is the best-kept existing royal garden in Beijing. With a concentration of the best of ancient buildings as well as styles of gardening, it is a virtual museum of traditional Chinese gardening.
    Beijing Zoo -
    Situated in the Xicheng District, Beijing Zoo was the first of its kind to be opened in China. The zoo contains a diverse collection of animals, a number of exhibition halls and some sites of historical interest.

    Day 04: Hohhot
    Sightseeing:Drive to the Gegentala Grassland. Visit the herdsmens tent, Mongolian Singing and Dances.

    china grassland Gegentala Grassland - Gegentala Grassland is to the north of Hohhot, within the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is the largest and a unique Mongolian scenic spot bearing the Mongolian ethical features of China.

    Day 05: HohhotDatong by Train
    Sightseeing:
    Zhaojun Tomb, the Five Pagoda Temple and the Dazhao Temple.
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

    Zhaojun Tomb  - It was built to commemorate a great woman named Wang Zhaojun, who was one of the four most beautiful ladies in ancient China, and who sacrificed herself for the unity of China by marrying Khan.
    the Five Pagoda Temple
    -
    also called Wuta Si. The name is derived from the five rectangular dagobas on the base. It is a Buddhist pagoda constructed in Indian style. There are 1,563 images of Buddha engraved in the exterior walls. Each is slightly different from another. At the back of the dagoba there is a carved screen with the unique Mongolian Astronomical Map in the world, which is highly valuable in scientific research
    Dazhao Temple
    - DazhaoTemple, Wuliang Si (Infinite Temple) in Chinese, is the oldest building and the largest temple in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Locally, people usually refer to it as the Silver Buddha Temple (Yinfo Si) for it is here that there is a rare silver statue of Sakyamuni that measures 2.5-meter-high (8.2-foot-high).

    Day 06: Datong - Beijingby Train
    Sightseeing:the Yungang Grottoes and the Hanging Monastery.

    the Yungang Grottoes- The Yungang Grottoes are excellent examples of Buddhist cave art, dating from the 5th and 6th centuries. They are located near the city of Datong in the Chinese province of Shanxi. The site stretches about 1 kilometer from east to west, and holds 53 caves with 51,000 statues.

    - Hanging Monastery stands at the foot of Mt. Hengshan, 65 kilometers (40 miles) from downtown Datong City. Since it hangs on the west cliff of Jinxia Gorge more than 50 meters above the ground, it is called Hanging Monastery.

    Day 07: Beijing
    Sightseeing: Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.

    Temple
    of Heaven - The Temple of Heaven in the southern part of Beijing is Chinas largest existing complex of ancient sacrificial buildings.

    Day 8: Depart Shanghai
