         Brief Introduction of Yangtze River

     

         Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia, flowing from the Tibetan Highlands right across China into the East Chinese sea. Its 6.300 km (3.915 miles) and is ice- free all year. The official name in Chinese is "Changjiang". The name "Yangtze" is only used for the lower reaches of the river, but became the official name used in western countries.

    Travel Tips

     

    To experience the Yangtze River Cruises you need to be at one of the port cities, which are Chongging, Yichang and Wuhan. Chongging and Wuhan are two important cities of the country having airports for you to access it faster. Now Chongqing and Jinzhou itinerary is open to travelers and It will take 5 days to complete it.

     

    The best time to go for the Yangtze River Cruises is May, September and October. These are the peak seasons to go for the cruise. The winter months are not recommended because the water dries up. It becomes too low for a cruise. You should avoid going in the month of March because of the cold weather. The months of June to July should be avoided as it is the rainy season, so there is a chance that the cruise may not be very comfortable due to the floods.

     

    The whole Yangtze River Cruises is divided into three gorges – the Xiling Gorge, the Wu Gorge and the Qutang Gorge to make your trip more memorable.
