    Xinjiang Tour Day-by-day Itinerary

     

    Day 1 Entry Urumqi
    Transfer from airport to hotel in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Province and free day for you to explore the city.

    Heavenly Lake - In the middle of Bogda Peak, 110 km (68miles) east of Urumqi, Xinjiang Province. Covering 4.9 square kilometers (1.89 square miles), this crescent-shaped lake deserves its name, Pearl of Heavenly Mountain. With melted snow as its source, Heavenly Lake enjoys crystal water.

     

    Day 3 Urumqi
    Sightseeing: , Mount Nan Pasture, The Terai Camp

    Mount Nan Pasture - Here can visit locals houses to have some milk tea and mutton. Later, they can rent horses to ride around the grassland. If you are fortunately, you can watch the activities of horse race, sheep catching and girls whip.

    The Terai Camp - A special experience of Kazak nomad life here, have a cup of milk tea and taste some really local food.

     

    Day 4 Urumqi to Turpan
    Sightseeing: Astana Tombs, Gaochang Ancient City, The Tuyugou Great Canyon
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

     

    Astana Tombs - It is located in the Gobi Desert in the north of Gaochang, 40 kilometers away from Turpan city. At the Ancient Tombs of Astana, thousands of treasure historical relics had been unearthed.  Ancient Tombs of Astana is called the "Gaochangs live history record and underground museum in the Turpan area."
    Gaochang Ancient City - Gaochang is located at the foot of the Flaming Mountain, about 46 kilometers (about 29 miles) southeast of Turpan. Withstanding the test of time and weather, the ancient city of Gaochang, and the ancient city of Jiaohe, are the best-preserved ruins of the ancient cities in China.
    The Tuyugou Great Canyon - The Tuyugou Great Canyon 47 kilometers from Turpan city in the west. Among the canyons in the Flame Mountain which extends nearly one hundred kilometers, Tuyugou Great Canyon is the canyon with the longest culture and the most mighty and majestic natural landscapes.

    Suleimans Minaret: - The Sugong Tower is the biggest ancient pagoda existing in Xinjiang and the only Islamic ancient pagoda in the country. It is located at the Munage village, 2 kilometers away from the Turpan city in the east.
    Karez Well - Karez Well is a kind of underground water works invented and built by laboring people of various ethnic groups in our country to adapt to the natural environment in dry region.
    Grape Valley - Grape Valley, so called "pearl city in the desert" is located 15 km northeast of Turpan, Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region. The valley is a world of unique beauty, presenting a striking contrast with the hot, dry and barren outside. Cushioned by green grass and graced with green trees, the valley is a world of green with brooks, canals and sparkling springs.

     

    Day 6 Urumqi
    Sightseeing: Depart Urumqi
    Meals: Breakfast
