    Details of Chinese New Year Tour Itinerary

     

    Day 1 Arrive in Beijing
    One-Way transfer from Beijing airport to hotel. Free day forbeijing spring festival tour you to explore the city just before the Chinese New Year. As the capital of China, Beijing is the most favorable place to fell the Chinese New Year Atmosphere.

     

    Day 2 Beijing
    In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel and drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Section is considered the best section of the Great Wall with the most beautiful scenery. You will enjoy the winter Great Wall even covered with snow. You will have round way cable car at the Great Wall which ensure a longer time for your hiking and photographing.     Day 3 Beijing
    This morning, visit vast Tiananmen Square and the extravagant Ming-erachinese new year 2010 imperial palace in the Forbidden City, including the jewelry museum. After lunch, visit the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO world heritage site, with the largest imperial garden in the world. (B. L)

     

    Day 4 Beijing
    After breakfast New Year Eve Morning you will head to the local markets for shopping just as locals do to buy some New Year souvenirs or gifts. Then you will have a Hutong (ancient residence lane) tour by rickshaw, you can see the beautiful Chinese New Year decoration along the lane. A visit to a local family will be arranged, You have chance to make dumplings with the host and have a dumpling lunch in the family. In the afternoon, it is free for you to explore the Chinese Spring Festival atmosphere. And in the evening you may walk out of the hotel and see the fireworks along almost all forbidden city beijingthe streets. (B. L)

     

    Day 5 Beijing
    Full day to join in the Ditan Park Fair - one of the citys busiest temple fairs, Ditan Park is the site of the altar where sacrifices were formerly offered to the god of earth, and now it has become the gathering place where people celebrate the beginning of a new year and various kinds of activities are held here. Folk performances, snacks of different flavors, all kinds of decorations. The atmosphere is typical - noisy, crowded but always full of fun! (B)

     

    Day 6 Beijing/Xian
    This morning, visit the exquisite 15th century Temple of Heaven. See the Imperial Ceiling of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. Take afternoon flight to the ancient city of Xian. This evening, enjoy the Chinese style banquet with a fabulous Tang Dynasty show. (B. L.D)

     

    Day 7 Xian
