Potala Palace is considered a model of Tibetan architecture. Located on the Red Hill in Lhasa, Tibet, it is 3,700 meters above sea level You will have chance to visit this famous Palace.

Day by Day Lhasa Itinerary

Day 01Arrive in Lhasa
Accommodation: Gangjian Hotel****
Your Tibetan English-speaking tour guide will meet you at the train station and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. Upon arrival, just take rest for high altitude acclimatization.

Day 02 Sightseeing in Lhasa
Accommodation: Gangjian Hotel****  [B]
Our first-day sightseeing in Lhasa will cover the most beautiful splendor in Tibet - Potala Palace, the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism -

Jokhang Temple, and the bustling Barkhor Street around the temple.And at evening, pay a visit to a local Tibetan family.

Day 03 Sightsee in Lhasa
Accommodation: Gangjian Hotel**** or Similar [B]
Today we will visit the great Gelugpa monastery - Drepung Monastery about 8km west of central Lhasa. It was once the worlds largest monastery housing more than 10,000 monks. If we are lucky, we can enter into a dark columned hall quite easily to see and hear the lilting, booming,

chanting of sutras.In the afternoon, we will visit Sera Monastery, about 5km north of central Lhasa. Here you could see the interesting "Buddhism Scriptures Debating" between Lamas.

Day 04 Lhasa-Gandan Monastery-Lhasa
Accommodation: Gangjian Hotel**** or Similar [B]
In the fresh morning air, well drive to the famous Gandan Monastery for its extremely delicate murals and sculptures. On the way, you could enjoy the country side view of the high plateau

Day 05 Leave [B]
We’ll transfer you to the airport and help you board the plane to your next destination. Your wonderful Tibet tour ends.
